Le Trèfle Noir / The Black Clover

Le Trèfle Noir was the first microbrewery in Abitibi-Temiscamingue, and it’s a great spot for socializing when the sun goes down. Though it’s most famous for distributing beer in Western Quebec, the pub attached to the brewery is also building a reputation as being the place to go for comedy shows, musical performances, film screenings and other exhibitions.

With over thirteen different beers on tap, the beer menu alone is enough to keep anyone entertained...perhaps don’t try to try them all in one sitting though!

Open from Monday to Thursday until 1am and Friday to Saturday until 3am,le Trèfle Noir is arguably Rouyn-Noranda’s go-to nightlife hub.

Le Cellier

Le Cellier is a cozy and atmospheric bar bistro, right in the heart of Rouyn-Noranda.

It’s wine bar is without a doubt one of the best upmarket nightlife venues in the city, offering the largest selection of wines in the region. They even have a wide choice of private imports if you’d like to try something unique.

Le Cellier should be your top choice for somewhere to unwind over a glass of wine (or two) in Western Quebec. And don’t forget to ask for personal recommendations of the best vineyards and grape varieties for the season.

Cabaret Dernière Chance

The Cabaret Dernière Chance is easily one of the quirkiest nightlife spots in Western Quebec!

With a mission of cultivating a community of freedom, open-mindedness and artistic expression, Cabaret Dernière Chance has a long history of celebrating marginal and lesser-known talent in the local area. This independent venue is a self-proclaimed ‘ train that never stops’, opening until 3am between Tuesday and Saturday and 12:00-12:30am on Monday and Sunday.

Deuxparquatre, Pub Brut

For something a little more low key, be sure to head to Deuxparquatre. With a laid-back atmosphere, this local bar is known for its wide selection of scotch, whiskey, rum and gin. It’s also got a seemingly endless range of beer, and a great food menu to take you from dinnertime right through to early morning.

Don’t expect an all-night party, but if you’re looking for somewhere to hang with friends or a romantic date, Deuxparquatre definitely won’t disappoint.

Open all week until 11pm and 1:00am on Thursdays and Fridays.

Le Paramount

The award for the best bar location goes to Le Paramount, which happens to be situated inside a converted movie theatre. Having retained its original features, this famous building in Rouyn-Noranda is now home to a bistro restaurant and a reception room that hosts weekly events.

Le Paramount is perfect for friendly catch-ups, romantic dates or family parties, thanks to its relaxed atmosphere and multipurpose space. But whatever the occasion,le Paramount is well worth a visit simply for its unique vibe and architecture.
