Tamworth Regional Gallery is one of the oldest regional arts spaces in New South Wales, and a superb example of its type. Two main gallery spaces house temporary exhibitions, while the permanent collection includes some fascinating examples of Australian art, interesting bequeathments and nationally important textiles. The gallery also provides a space for high profile touring exhibitions like the Archibald Prize for Australian Portraiture. Open Tuesday to Friday from 10am to 5pm, and weekends 10am to 4pm.
