This hip, happening and trendy coffee joint wouldn’t be out of place in one of Australia’s biggest metropolitan cities, and is a real find for caffeine addicts. With their own specialist coffee roastery, their brews are guaranteed to be of the highest quality, and the shared tables in the cafe create a convivial and lively atmosphere. It’s not just about the coffee though, as their Nash Stack breakfast is a town legend! Open Monday to Friday from 7am to 4pm, and Saturday 7:30am to 3pm.
The deconstructed name can be a bit hard to get your mouth around, but you’ll have no trouble with the food and the java at Blk.Mlk (Black Milk). One of the best places for breakfast in town, their pretty breakfast granolas, eggs benedict (with pulled pork!) or golden mango bowls are mouthwateringly superb. A traditional and welcoming family-owned and operated cafe, the guys at Kaffenio are passionate, and very very serious about Italian coffee. Serving up slowly-roasted Antico beans from Siracusa in Italy, they are devoted to the classic traditions of that country’s coffee culture. A local favourite, their breakfast and lunch options are well worth checking out as well. Open Monday to Saturday from 6am to 4pm, and Sunday 7am to 2pm.
A converted shipping container might not sound like the perfect spot for a cafe, but Cafe de Caravan’s wonderful location on the Murray River is just that, and the renovated shipping container is a surprisingly cool and funky space. With great coffee, and some fantastic burgers, rolls and sinful sweet treats, this is a superb place to sit and check out the gorgeous river views. Open Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 3pm, and weekends 7:30am to 4pm.

A Mildura institution which has been around for over 17 years, Coffee Town is the archetype of what a local cafe should be.
