Dylan’s On The Terrace
Situated on Albany’s stately and historic Stirling Terrace, Dylan’s offers a warm, welcoming atmosphere and a great menu of classic comfort food and delicious desserts. Despite its grand facade, inside it has a friendly and welcoming diner feel, and is a wonderful option for hungry families, with extremely generous portions. Don’t miss the triple chocolate brownies with ice cream, a favourite with the regulars. Open Tuesday to Saturday from 7am to 9pm, and Sunday 8am to 4pm.
Ocean & Paddock
Seafood lovers come from across the region to try Western Australia’s best fish and chips. Winners two years in a row in 2017 and 2018, Ocean and Paddock serve up crisply battered fresh local fish and chips cooked to perfection. This is a truly delectable reimagining of the humble Aussie fish and chip shop, with a beautiful location on Middleton Beach. If fish isn’t your thing, they also do a mean brisket, pulled pork, and southern fried chicken. Open Wednesday to Thursday from 3pm to 9pm, and Friday to Sunday 11am to 9pm.
Venice Pizza Bar
A bustling Italian pizzeria with a menu that goes way beyond its excellent wood-fired pizzas. Fresh, authentic Italian cooking that ranges from saltimbocca, veal parmigiana and a succulent selection of pastas, Venice Pizza Bar brings the fresh flavours and warm, welcoming Italian atmosphere to the heart of Albany. While the don’t serve alcohol, they are perfectly happy for you to bring your own, so grab a hearty bottle of red and get stuck in! Open Monday to Saturday from 4pm to 10pm, and Sunday 5pm to 10pm.
Rustlers Steakhouse & Grill
Set in the unusual but surprisingly attractive surrounds of a converted gymnasium, Rustlers Steakhouse and Grill serves up the best steaks in town, and is a haven for meat lovers. With a great surf n’ turf focused menu, as well as a huge grill selection, this is the perfect place for a satisfying, unpretentious and delicious meat feast. Open daily from 11:30am to 2pm and 5pm to 9pm.
The Kathmandu Kitchen
A modern and contemporary take on authentic Nepalese cooking, the Kathmandu Kitchen has been delighting customers in Albany since 2016. This family-run restaurant is unpretentious and welcoming on the outside, and serves up fresh, filling and delicious meals made with an obvious passion for traditional cook, and thoughtful, attractive presentation. A great choice for something a little different, for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Open Wednesday to Sunday from 11:30am to 2pm and 5pm to 9:30pm, and 5pm to 9:30pm on Tuesday.
Due South
A stone’s throw from Anzac Peace Park and ideally positioned for excellent views over Princess Royal Harbour, Due South is impressive… even before you’ve set foot in the door! Although, when you do, the lively, open plan atmosphere and delightfully varied menu will knock your socks off! Everyone is catered for here, from rich ribeye steaks, to gluten free pizzas and vegan options including kimchi stew and celeriac cottage pie. Depending on when you visit, you may even be able to snag a bargain with Due South’s weekly meal deals, like half price mussels every Tuesday from 5pm. Don’t miss out! Open everyday from 11am until late.
